It seemed like she understood Raven’s character so well but still made Raven a different version that Garcia created.

I’m so glad that Kami Garcia was chosen to do this. As adaptations come out, it is always a little nervous about how it is going to go. The story was intriguing and I was enraptured the entire time. This graphic novel did a fantastic job to exploit that. She always was a strong character but you knew there was more to her rough exterior. I was so impressed with this background story of Raven. Raven was my favorite character throughout the series so when I first saw this, I knew it was something I wanted to read. I grew up watching Teen Titans and it held so many amazing aspects. When strange things start happening–impossible things–Raven starts to think it might be better not to know who she was in her previous life.īut as she grows closer to her foster sister, Max, her new friends, and Tommy Torres, a guy who accepts her for who she is now, Raven has to decide if she’s ready to face what’s buried in the past…and the darkness building inside her. Raven remembers how to solve math equations and make pasta, but she can’t remember her favorite song or who she was before the accident. When a tragic accident takes the life of seventeen-year-old Raven Roth’s foster mom–and Raven’s memory–she moves to New Orleans to live with her foster mother’s family and finish her senior year of high school. Teen Titans Raven by Kami Garcia & Gabriel Picoloĥ out of 5 stars Summary Taken from Goodreads Is there any character you’d like to see get their own graphic novel? Happy Reading!

Images were provided by the publishers for this review. I’d like to give a huge thank you to DC Entertainment and DC Ink for a chance to review this honestly in advanced through Netgalley. So when I heard she was getting her own graphic novel story I was so excited. While I loved all the characters, Raven definitely stuck out to me. She was so mysterious but still a complete badass. However, out of all the characters – Raven was by far my favorite. There was something about all the characters that really brought the show together. It was a show that was introduced to me and then I watched all the time.
